Harrisburg Woman Arrested for Retail Theft

In October of 2022, Upper Allen Police investigated a retail theft from a business. An investigation identified Lauren Grohosky as the suspect and an arrest warrant was obtained. The arrest warrant was served on Grohosky and she appeared at a preliminary hearing on Thursday, February 29, 2024, where the charge was waived for court.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, Upper Allen Township Police were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Lancaster Boulevard for a home invasion robbery in which the victim was assaulted and threatened with a firearm. An investigation ensued and Terrel Simmons was identified as one of the involved suspects. On March 1, 2024, Simmons was taken into custody Harrisburg and is currently incarcerated. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a later date.

In September 2023, Upper Allen Police took a report of a theft of power equipment from a local business. An investigation revealed that Tyjoun Romero was involved in a theft of tools valued at $8,056. An arrest warrant was issued for Romero who was taken into custody in January 2024. On February 29, 2024, a preliminary hearing was held and Romero plead guilty to a lesser offense.

Police Seek Assistance with Hit-And-Run Crash

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, at approximately 12:15 AM, the Upper Allen Police responded to US Route 15 northbound near the PA Turnpike for the report of a hit-and-run crash. The investigation revealed that an unknown vehicle rear-ended the above pictured vehicle, which was traveling north in the right-most lane of US Route 15. The striking vehicle fled the scene, and the victim was unable to provide a description. Evidence at the scene indicates the striking vehicle may be a large SUV or truck. The striking vehicle will likely have moderate damage to the right-front side of the vehicle and possibly the left front corner as well.
